Compassionate Friends

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is an organisation of bereaved parents and their families offering understanding, support and encouragement to others after the death of a child or children. Support and friendship via the telephone, personal or group support. Helpline is always answered by a bereaved parent.

Opening times:  Helpline open every day, 10am - 4pm, 6.30pm- 10pm. Office open Monday - Friday. 9.30am - 5pm .
Who is it for:  a nationwide self-help group of bereaved parents offering support and friendship to families similarly bereaved of a child of any age and from any cause.
Charges:  If they wish to pay a membership subscription - £25 per household per annum.
How to apply:  self-referral or professionals, eg. GP's social workers, teachers, relatives, friends. Referral by telephone, letter, e-mail, fax
