Harrow Women's Centre

The Harrow Women's Centre is a safe, women-only space that offers services to support and empower Harrow women in need, hardship and distress to reach their full potential. It aims to promote equality of opportunity, tackle injustice, disadvantage, isolation and impoverty, whilst improving the physical and mental health and wellbeing of local women.

The Harrow Women's Centre's services are as follows:

Advice services
- offered between 10am and 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- provided impartial, non-judgemental advice and support on a range of issues, including benefits, children's and family issues, relationships, divorce, domestic violence, housing, finances, debt and homelessness
- you can drop-in at the times above or make an appointment

Complementary services
- a rota of independent therapists who offer their services at reduced rates
- treatments include Aromatherapy, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology
- available every Friday and Saturday between 1.00 and 5.30pm
- please phone the centre to book an appointment

- a private safe space for you to discuss your problems with a BACP registered counsellor
- from £7.50 per session
- appointment only, between 9am -9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 1pm Sunday
- please contact Sharon on 0208 422 110 between 9am and 2pm on Thursday for an initial assessment

Free legal Advice service
- available on Wednesdays between 2pm and 3pm
- provided by women from local solicitor firms with specialist expertise in family law who offer their service to help women from the community
- to make an appointment either phone or drop into the centre between 10am and 3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Support groups
- free groups tailored to the needs of the community and run between 10am and 12 pm
- for more information, phone the centre or just pop along and see what they are all about
- Tuesdays: Empowering support group for women (term time only)
- Wednesdays: Language exchange cafe and Stitching club (term time only)
- Thursdays: Working together to help women return to work and social activities, ie: craft club (term time only)
- Fridays: +55yrs older women's group: Come and join in discussions, create friendships, and partake in fun activities
- Last Saturday of each month: Surviving Cancer support group
