Ignite Trust

Ignite Trust's purpose is to work with at risk and vulnerable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through positive activities such as dance, after school clubs and specialist activities for particular groups (such as young parents) that lead to lasting change. Its vision is of a society where young people are positively engaged in their communities and it aims to engage, empower and transform young people by creating positive communities of change, based around their interests and needs. It offers activity and education based programmes that engage young people, helping them to build positive relationships and raise their expectations for the future, transforming their lives for the long term. It also has ties to local churches and attends Christian events, though is not 

Ignite Trust's projects include:

- Employment and training: engaging with hard-to-reach young people and offering them support in seeking employment or training opportunities
- Expression: a weekly youth community group that aims to encourage and inspire young people through sports, social time, food and life skills discussions
- Girls Night Only: a safe and fun environment for young women aged 13-19 who want to learn new skills, allowing them to be supported and inspired by youth workers and peers
- Soaring Eagles: practical help to young people in mental and emotional distress through brief solution focused courses of therapy
- Sports Excel: open sports sessions, sports coaching and a mentoring programme; using sport to encourage young people to engage in positive activities, develop life skills and make healthy life choices
