Kids Can Achieve

Kids Can Achieve supports and provides services for children and young people with special needs and their carers and families. Their young people have a range of emotional, social, behavioural and learning difficulties including (but not limited to) Autism and ADHD. They offer the following services.

Outreach – one to one support based on an agreed care package, including activities, short breaks, escorts for school runs and work in local schools

After School Club – a service providing a variety of activities for children aged 5 to 12, delivered during term time on week days between 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm

Saturday Stay & Play – a group based activity and lunch session for 5-12 year olds, running on Saturdays between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm (term time)

Holiday Schemes – three separate schemes depending on your child’s needs, age and interests, delivered during the holidays and half-term periods, on week days between 10.00am and 3.00pm

Play Scheme – play and activities for children aged 5 to 12, running every Monday to Friday in both term and holiday time

High Achievers – a service running Monday to Wedneday for children aged 6 to 12, providing a safe place to play and explore through a structured environment to progress the children’s social, independence and speech and language skills

Independent & Specialist Youth Schemes – a group running from Monday to Friday, providing activities that aim to develop the independence and social skills of young people aged 13 to 25 through activities and trips

Art Therapy – hour long individual sessions for adults and children

Adult ADHD support group – an informal group meeting at the Cedars Hall on the first Monday of each month from 8pm to 10 pm

Autistic Family Centred Counselling Service – free individual or family counselling on any area of life for people who have a family member with autism

Harrow Family Support Service – tailored case work support for parent carers of children, young people and adults with complex disability related needs, aged up to 25 years, plus weekly drop-in sessions on Friday mornings (term time only) from 10am to 1pm

Harrow Parents 4 Disabled Children Forum – a friendly group of parents who represent families of disabled children age 0-19 years in Harrow and come together to discuss and help shape services as well as providing support to other parents
