Early Intervention in Psychosis Service

The Early Intervention Service provides integrated support for children and young people between 14-35 and families as soon as a concern about psychosis starts to emerge. EIS aims to prevent escalation to specialist and statutory services; improve outcomes for the most vulnerable children and families; and to build family resilience so families can sustain progress and positive outcomes. Their work includes offering parenting classes and support for children and parents who have experienced domestic violence.

Their aims of service include:

  • Early detection, assessment and effective treatment of symptoms
  • Reduce the duration of psychosis through improved access services
  • Provide wide range of psycho-social interventions and support
  • Improve vocational and educational outcomes for people expereincing first episode of psychosis
