Jewish Women’s Aid is the only specialist organisation in the UK supporting Jewish women affected by domestic violence. JWA has two core aims:
1) To provide confidential, accessible, empowering and culturally sensitive advocacy and support for Jewish women and children affected by domestic violence.
2) Through education, training and awareness raising, to ensure that all sectors of the Jewish community recognise and speak out against domestic violence.
Their services include a helpline, emotional and practical support, refuge, counselling and a specialist children's worker, as well as education, training and talks for the wider community. They also run a monthly drop-in at Mosaic Jewish Community, 39 Bessborough Rd, Harrow HA1 3BS for Jewish women affected by domestic violence or those concerned about them.
