YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.

They provide a Parents Helpline, which is available to offer advice to anyone worried about a child or young person under 25. The helpline is free and confidental to call.

Call 0808 802 5544 for free Mon-Fri from 9.30am to 4pm – available in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

For children and young people, YoungMinds offers information and advice on their website, including information about where to go for help. They also offer opportunities to get involved in campaigning about mental health, as well as training for professionals.

They provide a free crisis text messenger service run 24/7 acrosss the UK. They aim to connect the young person to a trained volunteer within 5 minutes and provide support in a crisis.
