SANE provides emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including families, friends and carers. Their mental health support services are completely confidential, providing specialist support that addresses your individual circumstances. They are as follows:
- Helpline available on 0300 304 7000 from 4:30pm to 10:30pm every evening (you can also get in contact via post)
- Textcare: allows you to arrange for text messages of support at times that are right for you
- Online support forum: available 24 hours a day for you to share your experiences with other members and give and receive mutual support
- Opportunities to blog and share your stories, experiences, opinions and feelings
- Campaigns to reduce mental health stigma
