Through the provision of high quality care and support services BIAS strives to improve the position of the Irish community in Brent, promoting opportunity, social integration, independence and equality.
BIAS operates through their advocacy/advice service with helplines open on weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Not only that, BIAS offer a drop in advocacy service on Tuesday & Thursday mornings helping deal with issues such as housing, debt & Irish passports.
BIAS working closely with older people through pensioners groups and their respite day care service. They provide a service that informs their clients on their rights and welfare entitlements in order to enable them to have the best quality of life possible.
Through their active pensioners group and respite project they aim to promote the process of active ageing in order to extend the quality of life for all people as they age.
BIAS encourages their service users to optimize opportunities for good health and wellbeing and to continue to participate in the community. This is done by providing an environment where service users can continue to take part in social, physical, cultural and religious activities, regardless of ill health, disabilities or retirement. BIAS run a lot of community events through the London Irish Centre
