ANBU Abuse Never Becomes Us - UK

The charity supports survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the Tamil community through group therapies and online resources.

They have 3 different theraptuic services:

Transitions and Wellbeing Project: The project is made up of 3 different therapy styles and consists of 8 session that run weekly

Family Mentalisation Based Therapy (Family MBT): Family therapy with 3 family members (or individuals of their choice). this type of therapy allows clients to practise better mentalisation and understanding of issuesbetween them and their family.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA): This type of services provides practicel and emotional support to rape and sexual assult surviors to make their own desicions based on the options available to them. They are able the help survivors understand how the criminal justice process works and explain things such as what will happen if they report to the police. The process is drinen by the indivdual surviors' wants and needs.

Referrals and self-referrals accepted. Once a referral form is completed, the client is invited to attend a therapy assessment meeting to deem whether intervention is appropriate for them. Once a place is confirmed on group therapy, clients are also assigned someone from ANBU UK for therapeutic Support.
