Youth Employment Skills

The Youth Employment Skills (YES) voluntary programme aims to help participants develop a personal pathway into employment, education or training based on their own circumstances, needs and ambitions. Young people can benefit from a range of extensive, personal support from YES:

- A dedicated adviser helps participants create and fulfil a personal plan of action
- Regular one-to-one appointments provide job search, application, and interview advice
- Accredited training is available to upskill participants and boost their CVs
- Soft skills training develops job search skills, mindset and in-work acumen
- Financial support is available to cover the cost of travel and work clothing
- On going contact helps participants sustain their new job, apprenticeship or course

This programme is open to young people who are not currently in employment, education or training and are:
- 18-24 years old, BAME, living in London (all boroughs)
- 18-24 years old, living in Central and West London with mental health issues, drug or alcohol, or homelessness problems (all self declared)
