Survivors UK is a London-based charity that provides support for men who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. They provide various services, most of which are available nationally. These are:
- Confidential one-on-one chat via the website or SMS with a trained helpline worker
- In-person counselling for adult men (self-referral only): twelve sessions offered initially, which may be extended; fees charged on a sliding scale
- A pilot telephone counselling service with limited places (clients with disabilities which might prevent them from getting into the service and clients outside of London will be prioritised)
- A male Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) who can provide emotional and practical support to men over the age of 18 living in London who have reported to the police or are considering reporting to the police
- A moderated forum for survivors to share their experiences and opinions
- A national database of qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, arts therapists and psychologists who have undergone a specific training with SurvivorsUK, as well as other organisations offering support
Please note that Survivors UK do work with people outside Greater London. If you can access their service they will work with you.
