Battle Against Tranquillisers

Battle Against Tranquillisers (BAT) aims to help those who are addicted to benzodiazepines and ‘Z’ drug tranquillisers, and sleeping pills (and drugs with similar effects) and who wish to withdraw from them. They support people to withdraw as comfortably as possible, and to help them to make the changes necessary in life after withdrawal.

BAT also provides information on benzodiazepine addiction and withdrawal, as well as aiming to influence services in their prescribing, managing and supporting of clients. Their direct services are mostly available in the Gloucestershire/Somerset area but they do provide a national helpline and information on their website.
