Red Balloon NW London

Red Balloon supports young people who self-exclude from school and are missing education because of bullying or other trauma. They provide an academic and therapeutic programme to enable students to get back on track and reconnect with society. Young people who have been traumatised by bullying or other events and circumstances can feel safe, regain their self-esteem and improve their confidence.

All students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum of academic subjects, creative arts, counselling or therapy, and personal and social education. Red Balloon work in partnership with local schools to improve attendance and academic progress. Students in KS4 can work towards GCSE and other qualifications. When students are ready they are also supported in the next stage of their educational journey – back to school, on to college, or on to training.

As well as the centre in Harrow, there are centres in Cambridge, Norwich and Reading, plus RBAir, which provides online teaching for students who might not have access to a RB Centre or might not be ready to attend a physical Centre.
