Housing Advice: Emergency Accommodation

Emergency accommodation is a very limited resource which can only be offered to those who are roofless and have a priority need. If you are placed in emergency accommodation it is not a short cut to being rehoused permanently.

Emergency accommodation is very expensive and the accommodation may not be in Harrow. If you believe you are about to become homeless you should immediately contact this service. They will do everything they can to prevent you from becoming homeless.

They may:

- offer emergency accommodation while we are carrying out enquiries and assess your application under housing law
- provide you with support while you are placed in emergency accommodation if you have identified support needs
- offer you temporary accommodation after investigations have been completed and if we have decided that we have a duty to re-house you and your household
