The Bridge Recovery Hub

The Bridge is a mental health recovery centre for people experiencing mental health issues that aims to break social isolation and promote social inclusion. It provides a safe environment with a range of therapeutic activities focused on mental and physical wellbeing. This includes one to one support with a key worker to help identify your needs, develop support plans, build coping strategies and review your progress on a regular basis. It is also possible to access the Bridge's services on a drop-in basis.

The Bridge's activities and groups cover subjects including arts and crafts, massage, yoga, mindfulness, music, fitness, creative writing and hairdressing. They also run social groups, ESOL classes, groups specifically for women, men or Asian women, and provide a venue for other organisations to hold groups. These activities are either free, can be paid for yourself or with a Personal Budget – the Bridge can provide support in applying for and using a Personal Budget.

Service users are encouraged to take a role in running The Bridge (where appropriate), whether by helping to support its day-to-day running, run groups and activities or provide peer support.

Finally, the Bridge's Food for Thoughts Café is available on site, providing fresh and healthy food prepared by recovery trainees. Clients and members of the public are invited to eat, drink and socialise here, and find out more about local mental health support and information.
